Stuart's latest painting unveiled on BBC1

Tuesday, 7 June 2022

One of Stuart's latest paintings has been unveiled on the new series of BBC1's Extraordinary Portraits.

Earlier this year, Stuart travelled to the Shetland Islands in Scotland to meet, spend time with, and paint Harriet Middleton.

The first episode in the new series of the programme, which matches artists with extraordinary members of the public, aired on Monday, June 13th at 8.30pm, presented by Tinie Tempah.

Cancer survivor Harriet volunteered her knitting skills to help raise over £100,000 to buy Shetland's only hospital an MRI scanner. In this link-up, Stuart swaps his paintbrush for knitting needles and foregoes his studio in Suffolk for the Scottish Isles to create a portrait of Harriet.
