Earlier this year Stuart was appointed judge of the inaugural Waverton Art Prize.
Investment management house Waverton has teamed up with Boisdale to launch the open call art prize.
Earlier this week Stuart awarded the prize to artist Rae Hicks.
As part of this process Stuart has been talking to Doug Barnett, portfolio manager at Waverton, about his love for painting, sculpture, film, set design and more.
They discuss his early life, his time at the Slade School of Fine Art and how he lived in a van and ate jacket potatoes, his relationships and influences, his work ethic and they try to distinguish the difference between creative and commercial value - if indeed there is one.
