Stuart's exhibition HALFBOY is now on at Snape Maltings in Suffolk as part of the Aldeburgh Festival.

It runs until Sunday 23rd June in the Derelict Gallery (opposite the Hoffmann Building) and is open daily from 12pm until the start of the evening concert.

Reconstructed from photographs and personal memories, the paintings that make up HALFBOY are imbued with Stuart’s portraitist’s eye for detail, bringing to life the minutiae of time and place. We are transported from 1980s council estates to thorny depressions in the landscape, bearing witness to tragicomic scenes from the artist’s childhood and adolescence.
